Disclosures

What finance.works is, what it is not, and what every number on the screen actually means.
finance.works is not a bank
finance.works is an aggregation and intelligence product. It reads financial information and explains it. It does not hold deposits, is not a chartered bank or credit union, and your balances here are not insured by the FDIC, the NCUA, or any equivalent scheme. Insurance, where it applies, is provided by the institutions that actually hold your money.
Banking, custody and money movement are planned capabilities. When they arrive, they will be delivered through regulated partners, disclosed as such, and named on this page.
Nothing here is financial advice
finance.works describes your own data back to you and models what follows from it. That is not personalized financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and no one at finance.works is acting as your fiduciary, broker-dealer or registered investment adviser.
No return is guaranteed, by us or by anything the product shows you. Decisions about your money remain yours, and a professional who knows your full circumstances is worth consulting before making a significant one.
Projections are estimates
- Every forecast, scenario and projection is an estimate derived from your recent history. It is labeled as an estimate wherever it appears.
- Estimates assume your patterns continue. They do not model job loss, market movement, illness, or any other event not already in your data.
- A scenario you build on the Plan screen changes the assumptions, not the certainty. It is still an estimate.
What the AI does, and does not, do
- Finance AI answers only from the accounts and transactions you have connected. When a question cannot be answered from that data, it says what is missing rather than guessing.
- Every answer shows the figures it used and the arithmetic behind them, so you can check it.
- It cannot move money. Execution is disabled in the product and cannot be switched on.
- It can propose actions. Every proposal waits for your approval, and approving one in this build records a simulation — nothing is sent anywhere.
- Language models can be wrong. Treat an answer as a well-sourced starting point, not a verdict.
This build runs on demonstration data
Every balance, transaction, institution and holding in this build is generated. It is realistic, internally consistent and regenerated if it goes stale, but it does not describe anyone’s real finances and no real bank connection exists. Account numbers are synthetic and are never displayed in full anywhere in the product.
